Wabi Sabi Me Set Up Part II

Okay, so here we are two days into this new venture, and I am taking a moment to reflect on my progress:

  1. Wabi Sabi Me is now on technorati and I have 1 fan :-)
  2. Wabi Sabi Me has a flickr account
  3. Wabi Sabi Me tweets

I am also taking pleasure in the new minimalistic design. Most of the WordPress themes are too busy for the quite retreat that I want Wabi Sabi Me to be. So I will continue to tweak the basic Kubrick code a bit, here and there…

What still remains:

  • Add a handful of plug-ins. I want Wabi Sabi Me to be iPhone compatible, and I want each entry to be time stamped. I also need the plug-ins to post by iPhone/email, access flickr photos, etc…

I started Wabi Sabi Me to help me focus on balance in my life — the never-ending struggle of every mother. I am finding that even the set up is an exercise in mindfulness. How very wabi sabi…

Wabi Sabi Me Set Up

Okay, mad blog itch has finally been scratched! In the early a.m. Wabi Sabi Me went live. Thank you Greg at Go Daddy!

Next up:

  1. Configure for blogging by email - I’ve done some reading at WordPress about this, but still haven’t wrapped my mind around it.
  2. Configue for iPhone compatibility - I want Tomoko — my iphone, he’s a he, by the way :-) — to be able to view Wabi Sabi Me in all it’s glory!
  3. Upload an appropriate template - again, looking at the WordPress Themes, but so far have seen nothing that captures my wabi sabi essence. I’ve popped open CS3 and started doodling…
