Back to Usual

September 9th, 2007

So summer is officially over and we have survived our first week back in the real world. My classes are off to a fast start but I managed to not get carried away with it all and kept my family time protected.

For “Me” time, I joined a Knit-A-Long at Ravelry and will be knitting myself a triangle shawl. Participants in the Jane Austen group will be reading Persuasion (Penguin Classics) and knitting a related object of their choice. It was suggested that we all do something in blue and of course lace. For my project, I went to my stash and found a pattern and some wool from a trip to Monterey.

I’ve been listening to the audio version of Persuasion and just picked up the paperback version today. I also stumbled across Knit One, Haiku Too and now have another source of inspiration for my daily tweets.

It all starts up again tomorrow. Here’s to staying on top of work and not leaving my family behind.
